I remember that little girl who loved wearing high heels all day long. She’d sling a purse over her shoulder, slap on a hat, wrap up a baby doll and put it in her little pink stroller and sing her way through the day!!
It was even better if she could make an improvised stage and find someone to capture it on camera. She loved to perform! And found such creative ways to do it!!
She’s still singing and what a beautiful blessing to us all! Natalie’s voice is so clear and strong! Her passion rings in her expressions of music!
She’s maintained her creativity and channels it through every area of her life. She loves redecorating her room and exhibits through her decorating and cooking that”Variety is the spice of life!” I’m proud to say she learned that from me and her great grandma!!
She’s traded the high heels for comfort but still likes to carry those stunning purses!! A hat sometimes still gets perched on those lovely curls that she used to call “angry hair”!
But, I’m so proud of her determination to pursue God. I’ve watched her grow up, and the journey has been a difficult one at times! She’s had her tears and overcame with a smile! School wasn’t her favorite thing to do but she’s done it, and has made it tolerable by her interjections of journaling and photography and splashes of creativity!! My memory box has been full of notes and pictures from this, my first granddaughter!
I love you, Nat! I’m so glad to have been privileged to travel close beside you through these 12 years. I will forever treasure my journey with you!
I am tearful and happy as you leave this part of your life! But I am confident you will succeed and continue to bless all who travel with you! That’s just who you are!!
My love, Nat, from MawMaw MawMaw
