Congrats to Cade!!

He was a passive baby. Didn't make waves.. A follower compared to some of the more charged grands.

At 18, what I like about Cade is that he's still a peacemaker, but he's a leader by example. What I hear his cousins say about him is that they really admire and look up to him.

This weekend we celebrated graduation for this second oldest grandchild. All the family was there because we wouldn't have missed it. It's an honor to have Cade in the family.  We love it that he's so loyal to family ties. Cade has enough devotion to spread, in a personal way, to make each of us feel like we are so special to him... He loves to hug, loves to encourage, and his smile is contagious!!
I watched as every family member stepped forward, anxious to have a picture with him. He was quick to put out his big arm , hug you up, and smile for the click, click, click of the cameras.

His friends stopped in for the celebration throughout the day. I could tell everyone of them loved and respected Cade. It's easy to do!!

He makes us grandparents feel so special. He's genuinely happy to have us close for school events and holidays. We feel it.. there's no shame in his recognition of who we are!!

Cade is a good sized boy who could be a football player. But he loves the beauty of music and band. Often he finds fulfillment in humming or singing or composing.  But he's not the typical artistic person who doesn't " do people". I contribute a lot of his good manners and gracious persona to to the training of his parents. But then again, it's just Cade. He has a commanding physical presence. But it doesn't invoke fear; he's a gentle giant.

Words can't appropriately describe him. Maybe " devoted, loyal, loving, caring and compassionate" and a lot of other good words. But mostly his heart to do right and be there and make a difference in this world is reflected in everything he does.

Congratulations!  I'm so proud of you, Cade!! I'm so glad God blessed me with you!! And I love that you have listened and embraced God and good and right. That gives me so much hope for a bright and unregrettable future....

Love, Maw Maw
