Proverbs 19:21 "There are many devices within a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand."
I love all ten of my grandchildren equally. And I love that I can observe their individual personalities developing. When I see particular strengths that they build into their lives, I want to encourage and compliment them.
This summer has been your debut, Tyrel, into "adulthood". You just passed into another phase of life and you're due some kudos.
How proud we were of you, our first grandchild. We bought you tiny camo overalls your first Christmas...then little guns and fishing poles. You embraced life with full steam, all boy and such cuteness! It was hard to keep up with you as a little guy and your busyness. You were quite the little man!!
You were trained by your good Daddy and Mama to be tough and hard working. As you phased into adolescence, that combination caused you to be a little arrogant ( as most are at this stage). You pretty well knew it all and didn't hesitate to let others know!!! I worried a little and prayed a lot!!
Somewhere in your teens, Tyrel, you began a sincere journey with Jesus. I had some unforgettable conversations with you about the lessons you were learning. I said " Thank you, Lord!" and I have watched you.
Tyrel, you have enough brains and brawn that you could try to change the world. You are a natural leader, friendly and affectionate. You will make a difference. But, I noticed, in your graduation speech, you didn't mention once what your goals were for the future but you spent a good bit of time thanking others and God for making you into the young man you have become. I cried as I watched you embrace all your family unashamedly. You smiled alot and you were ok with tears. I watched you often seek out your mom this week, to give her a hug. You took the time to make me feel special and loved! You grabbed your younger sister when she was being emotional at your graduation celebration and assured her you still would be there for her! Your cousins adore you!
A few years ago,Tyrel, you had all the components of being arrogant and demanding. But I have seen you humble yourself and seek the counsel of people who you look up to. I know how you have prayed.
Tyrel, I attribute who you are today, to you seeking counsel of God. I pray God to continue to guide you into being a man who can lead by your humility. I loved your theme song, "God just needs a few strong men!" I believe you are on the right road!!! I'll be right behind you...on my knees and cheering for you! My love.......MawMaw
Thank you mawmaw ! You mean the world to me ,I hope I won't disappoint you ! I love you -Tyrel
